ABC Wines review: This Portuguese vinho verde, literally "green wine", is intended to be consumed within a year of bottling (or, since it is non-vintage, immediately upon purchase). It is very crisp, ever so slightly sweet, with flavors of citrus and green apples and a barely noticeable effervescence. It would work well served as an aperitif, with hors d'oeuvres, or even with an afternoon snack. Our score: Average.
